If you want to go Then hit the goddamn the road Cause stayin' here with me is not making you happy And you don't have to say Every little thing That pops into your brain, better to refrain You said "The home we made is mine. I'm sure you'll find a place alright. I'll take our cat to keep me warm through New York City storms." And I could swear that in your voice I heard a veiled rejoice But me I'm on the rise I got too much on my mind And right now my girl she waits, her legs go on for days And you'll find yourself a man A real intellect with plans to fix the world you're in...a house, a yard with a garden And I'm still scared of ending up alone a pile a cold bones So I throw clothes into an empty suitcase Splash come cold water over my face And I should feel better by the morning Drive the whole night through and when the cold air Starts to get warm I can settle down there And I should feel better by the morning Better by the morning

I was waiting out I was waiting it out I was waiting outside all night You can't be wrong if you're right You can't be wrong if you're right I was waiting outside all night You turned it into something else A sea I didn't plan to sail You turned it into something else No mile markers on this trail Why did I comply? Something went awry Now I'm blaming myself Cause you turned it into something else I was spacing out Pouring poison down I wasn't thinking clear like I am now And I can't let you speak When you're talking down to me But I've never been good at leaving You turned it into something else A sea I didn't plan to sail You turned it into something else No mile markers on this trail Why did I comply? Something went awry Now I'm blaming myself Cause you turned it into something else

So what would happen if I left would we both forget in time and move on with our own lives I've been wishing I could see where every path would leave me to so I could make the right moves Cause I can't get high anymore with out a fantasy and I can't get by anymore with out a dream I can't get high anymore with out a fantasy and I can't get by anymore with out a dream There's romance in disappearing it's so appealing now And if I break my old plans and flee the scene I could have mystery, I could be anything OHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHHH So I hit the road at 4am, it was dark And I tried to light my cigarette but no spark Then my phone lit up from the passenger seat you called So I threw it out the window and I turned up the radio Cause I can't get high anymore with out a fantasy and I can't get by anymore with out a dream I can't get high anymore with out a fantasy and I can't get by anymore with out a dream There's romance in disappearing it's so appealing now And if I break my old plans and flee the scene I could have mystery, I could be anything OHHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH But every time I see you smile The thoughts of leaving leave my mind and I'm with you And now I don't remember how it felt to long for something new There's romance in disappearing it's so appealing now And if I break my old plans and flee the scene I could have mystery, I could be anything OHHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH

It should've gotten done It should've gotten done It should've gotten done but the work piled up as it tends to do when I talk to you When I talk to you with your furrowed brows As they tend to be when you talk to me When you talk to me oh my knees go weak As they tend to do I think you'd be doin' yourself a favor By stayin' in my arms tonight Maybe we could watch the sunrise over the hill It should've gotten done It should've gotten done It should've gotten done but I love my words I'll never find em now They're strangers in a crowd And if I knew just who they were maybe I could pick em out But what good would it do I'd lose em just as soon I never know what I should say when you walk into the room So how about a tune? I think you'd be doin' yourself a favor Stayin' in my arms tonight Maybe we could watch the sunrise over the hill I don't read minds tell me if you think I'm alright Tell me if you think I'm alright And if I can't have you then I don't think I want anyone I don't think I want anyone So it rises to my eyes and mine alone

Til The End 03:12
I'm no good at "Hello's" but it came out so easy when I saw your face My best friend set us up, he told me that you paint so I asked you and you laughed and then you painted the world. You said it's your favorite place and I wondered where you been and now six weeks have gone by and ever second by your side or on the phone, neither of us like being alone. So we're making plans for you and me, there's so much more we've got to see well these days I'm happyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. You're no good at "goodbye's" so hopefully we'll never, never ever need to try. And I've been honest from the start except for when I said we could be friends, oh no I can't pretend. Oh well this feels like we're fallin' in love you said there's butterflies inside your gut and I put em there. Well you never seem scared and I guess with all that you've been through in the last painful year or two it all makes perfect sense, I love you til the end.
